Thank you for your interest in working with me! I would be happy to work with you on a tattoo project in the near future.
My Books are currently closed for all new tattoo appointments. On June 1st, 2024, I recently took on a new round of appointments that have filled my schedule until the start of 2025.
2025 Booking will re-open in Spring 2025 - Join the Waitlist!
If you would like to receive updates about future booking for Spring 2025 - please sign up for my Email Waitlist using the "Contact / Location" Page of this site.
Booking is typically done 1-2 times per year. I recently took on a new round of appointments this past June 1st, 2024 that have filled my schedule until the start of 2025. Based on my current project calendar, my next round of booking will likely be sometime in Spring - Summer 2025.
Everyone on my waitlist will receive more updates throughout the year, closer to my next round of 2025 Booking. This will let you know more information about the scheduling process & all other specifics for submitting your Tattoo Inquiry.
My website www.ryanwaidtattoos.com is the best resource for all booking information & FAQ’s. You can also feel free to join my Instagram broadcast channel on Instagram, for more scheduling updates & information about openings.
I am grateful to receive many more Tattoo Inquiries than I am capable of taking on. As a result, I am more selective about which projects I take on & I only book 3-6 months maximum at a time. I will not be booking appointments past December 2024.
Please do not feel discouraged if I am unable to get to your project right away - I assure you that it is nothing personal. With the amount of requests I receive, It may take multiple submissions before I am able to take on your tattoo project. I truly appreciate your interest in working with me!
I will typically prioritize projects with unique ideas that fit my artistic style & allow creative freedom. I always enjoy doing Girl Portraits, Illustrative Realism, or Large Floral Projects. All of my Original Artwork receives priority booking and discounted rates.
When my Booking schedule is “Closed”, this means that my current project calendar is full, and I will be not able to accept any new tattoo appointments at that time.
When my Books are Open, I receive a large amount of requests that typically fill my calendar for at least 3-6 months in advance. My Books will be Open for about 3 days, for clients to submit their Tattoo Inquiries. Projects will be prioritized based on their artistic concept & creative freedom. Client requests will be accepted & scheduled, and my Books will be temporarily Closed for all new appointments until those projects are completed.
In addition to my website "Booking Information", I post booking updates most often on my social media pages, like Instagram & Facebook. If you were interested and getting on my tattoo waitlist in between booking periods, please join to mailing list on my Contact / Location page.
I specialize in realistic, fine-line Black & Gray tattooing. My favorite subjects to tattoo are custom Girl Portraits, illustrative realism, animals & large scale delicate florals.
Priority Subjects:
In my booking process, I typically prioritize portraits & large scale realism projects to keep expanding my stylized portfolio. I will always have many custom designs available in the "Priority Flash Designs" tab. Creative freedom & Original Designs will always receive discounted rates and priority scheduling.
At the end of the day, I am grateful & always open to create a tattoo of any style for any one!
The first step of our process will begin when I receive your Tattoo Request. You can submit your inquiry through the "Tattoo Submission Form" page. This page will provide you with a prompt to provide a specific description of your tattoo idea - including reference photos, Session Options and more.
Every tattoo experience begins with a personalized consultation. This will be our initial opportunity to meet, go over your design ideas, and discuss a plan for your tattoo appointment. All common questions about design details, scheduling, pricing, & more will be discussed during this consultation time. We will finish your consultation by scheduling a date for your actual tattoo session. You will also receive 2 confirmation emails leading up to your appointment date.
Based on our conversation, I will create a custom design for you that will be ready on the day of your tattoo appointment. Designs will never be sent before hand. However, we will take plenty of time to go over all of your design details before beginning our tattoo session. Any small changes that need to be made to a design can be done during our appointment time. I will never rush any step of the process to ensure that every client loves the artwork that they wear.
*Large Design Changes may result in rescheduling our appointment*
In-person consultations are always ideal, but virtual consultations can also be done through FaceTime or Zoom. Accommodations can always be made for clients who live far from the studio - Foxwood Tattoo Collective. (2021 Liberty Road Suite E, Sykesville, Maryland, 21784)
In addition to our consultation, I will rely on you to submit a Tattoo Request Form with a fully detailed description of your idea. To help me understand your vision and style, I will need you attach all of the reference photos that you would like. My design process may also require a photo of your location on your body where you would like to get the tattoo done.
My Tattoo Inquiry Form will have several prompts for you to fill out to send back to me. You will be able to choose your preference between Quarter Day, Half Day, or Full Day Sessions. The more information you provide me with, the easier the creative process will be for both of us. If you are more open to giving artistic freedom with your idea, please make note of that in your submission.
At the start of your first appointment, your design will be ready for your approval. We will discuss your design details & finalize your stencil before beginning the tattoo process. Your consultation will be your main opportunity to discuss all of your thoughts, style preferences, & more about your tattoo design.
Larger projects like half sleeves, sleeves, and back pieces may take multiple sessions. This timing may vary depending on the size, detail, placement, and more. Every tattoo project is unique & there is no way to fully guarantee the exact amount of sessions a tattoo will take. At your consultation, we will discuss all of the details of your design idea and I will provide you an estimate for our sessions & cost.
If you need to reschedule the date of your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances - please contact me at least 5 days prior to the session, so I can rearrange my calendar and find a new date for our session.
I understand that life happens - You are be able to reschedule your appointment only once without losing your deposit. If you cancel/reschedule multiple times, or with less than 5 days notice - A new deposit will be required to continue working together.
Cancellations are typically last minute, and will usually be advertised through my Instagram Broadcast Channel / Stories &my E-Mailing Waitlist.
